This is a very typical Chinese restaurant in Canonmills (north of the city centre) which always seems to be just nicely busy! As it is situated near several large offices, it is very popular at lunchtimes, similarly the evening trade is often brisk!
The food is better than average and reasonably priced, but there is a special 3 course lunchtime menu for around £7, which is exceptional value. Portions are large and the service prompt.
All in all, this is a perfect place for a lunchtime treat or for those evenings when you don't want to cook, but find somewhere more special for your intimate meals!
Went for the special lunch menu. My wife and I ordered Chilli beef and monk vegetables. We enjoyed our meals. The choices for dessert were uninspiring, but the banana fritter was remarkably good. The service was good and the staff friendly.
