Have been looking for somewhere to replace the now closed Joannes in Dalmeny St. and this just may be the place. Lettuce wrap starter for 2 was very good (but enough for 4!) Prawn and Apple was really tasty and the Minced Pork and Aubergine was delicious (if awfy big!) we also had Pak Choi in garlic sauce which was cooked to perfection. As courses were so big we will be enjoying it again for tea tomorrow.
I have just bought 1 house special chow main ffrom this restaurant and it was so so terrible a waste of £5. Greasy uninteresting, 1 prawn just terrible.
Superb customer experience provided by Diane and Michael - unfailing courtesy and attention make the meal a delight.
The salt & pepper scallops are superb, beef and black bean sauce, sheddred chilli beef and chicken egg foo yung are all highly recommended.
I took my wife and daughter to Shangri-La. We ordered the banquet for two and an aubergine dish. A spare rib starter was generous and tasty. The duck wrap was nice and moist and I particularly enjoyed the aubergine.
The owners Diane and Michael are very welcoming and attentive. It was obvious that many of the other diners were regulars.
